Happy Days!!

Camera Critters
"Happy Days!" is this week's "Camera Critters" post. If you want to participate, click on the image above.

For anyone who read my Camera Critter post "Fare ye well, young Frederick…" you will know about Fred and how we had to surrender him to the RSPCA. I have missed the little guy immensely. However, the absolute positive result is watching Ella and Jonesy comfortable in their environment once again.

After a decent play, Jonesy has crashed out on the grass (he's the blur in the background), however Ella still wants to play and scans the garden beds for any sign of movement! I thought that this sight just had to be captured for posterity....

After a few shutter clicks, Jonesy became aware of the attention that Ella was apparently being showered with and slowly got to his feet and came over to me. At this point, David then demanded the camera to capture some beauty shots of our little "precious".

  1. Well... I don't want to let behind me a trace of owkward, but i must say these... Why Ella and Jonesy doesn't accept a new strange cat in family? By the way... Ella's moustaches are piled every day or only at the every end of the week? Silly question?

  2. @ Bell - Both Ella and Jonesy were very tolerant of Fred... however he had health problems, and wasn't disexed (or "fixed'). I think he gave off a scent they were unsure of. Ella & Jonesy are both rescued cats - I joke that they have great tolerance because they have their own troubled pasts.

So, I wouldn't say that they don't "accept a new strange cat in family" - they're just happier now he's gone.

@ Shea - "Happy Days"... me too!! I even want to break out in song... Sunday, Monday, Happy Days!!

FYI: This post focusses on Ella. It was her time for the spotlight - Jonesy has had more photos put on the blog ;)

  6. Got to say these images are gorgeous. I'm a sucker for a black cat even though I'm a dog person.

  7. Beautiful cats! Ella really seems to enjoy the spotlights. It looks like she is posing for you on purpose. I just saw your post after linking mine. Our cat is not so fond of the camera ;). Best wishes.
