It's been a long time inbetween photo collection posts for me - it's actually been a while since I did a post of any kind!
Therefore, this morning I decided to rug up and venture out into the country cold and capture some shots of the morning mist. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I enjoyed my morning....

Golden Oldies...
"Golden Oldies..." is this week's "Camera Critters" post. If you want to participate, click on the image above.
I've been so busy this week that I didn't even think about my camera, let alone pick it up and snap some photos.
Therefore, this weeks camera critter post is a selection of critter photos taken on various occasions - before digital cameras. On each occasion, I had to capture what I saw with one frame of film... the cows took off on a stampede; the spider ran into the darkness; and the pelicans and gulls dispersed incredibly quickly.

Meet the Neighbours...
"Meet the Neighbours..." is this week's "Camera Critters" post. If you want to participate, click on the image above.
With all the trees that surround us, we hear these neighbours more than we see them. This week when we saw they were up at the fence, Dave & I took the opportunity to take some photos. They were more than happy to smile for the camera...

I Am The Lizard King!
"I Am The Lizard King!" is this week's "Camera Critters" post. If you want to participate, click on the image above.

So there he was. Basking in the sunlight, a typical garden skink, no more than twenty centimetres in length. I ran inside to get the camera and when I got back to the garden, he hadn’t moved. But I only had one chance to take a shot – as soon as the shutter stirred the little lizard scurried away into the bushes.
Jonesy, my oldest cat, sat nearby the whole time, watching me in bewilderment. It wasn’t until the skink moved after I took the photograph that Jonesy finally realised what was going on. He leapt into the garden and spent the next two hours fossicking for the lizard. He never caught it.

Later, I returned outside and found Jonesy asleep in the garden bed. He seemed exhausted. I keep telling him to let the ecology do its thing – that all little creatures have a purpose. But he just can’t help himself with those lizards.

"Organics"
It's that time again for another collection of images.
Yesterday was Australia Day and I made the most of my day off, spending quite a chunk of it outside.
In doing so, I decided that the next collection should celebrate my natural environment. This collection, titled "Organics", are images that have been taken at various times while I was on holidays in NSW, Australia. (I can't take credit for all of these images, as I suspect that Dave took a few of them - but hey, I taught him everything he knows!)

"Coastal Charm"... colour photography of some Aussie waterways.
It's been a while since my first post of photos, so I felt it was time for another collection of images.
With the holidays upon us, I am looking forward to spending some time by the many beaches/waterways that I love around here. Therefore, the second collection of images "Coastal Charm" is a selection of colour images taken by myself and Dave in NSW, Australia.

When you have nothing to say - let images do the talking...
It's been a very busy week for most of the GritFX team... and I can't believe that it's almost a week between posts!
Well... Wadrick chose not to work this week - that guy walks to his own beat... but will probably have more film reviews up tomorrow.
Max has been caugth up in the US election - which he chooses not to write about... even though I would consider some political pieces "weird stuff"! There's always something odd around - so I'm sure he'll be posting again soon.
As for me - not much to say other than I've been totally addicted to scanning in old images that date BDC (Before Digital Cameras) and sharing them on facebook.
This first collection "On the Road" is a selection of black & white images taken by myself and Dave on the road in NSW, Australia... Coastal + Country Roads.
Feeling displaced...
