Happy Birthday To Us!

GritFX is officially one year old today! Can’t believe it? Nah, neither can we. To celebrate this “momentous” event, we are giving one lucky GritBlog reader the chance to win $10,000 cash! The first caller through on the Toll Free number listed below will win the prize!

OK…that was just a lame attempt at an April Fool’s Day gag. There is no ten grand and no Toll Free number. But we are one year old today – that is no joke. We would dearly love to thank all our loyal readers and community members of the GritBlog, those who have left comments for our writers, those who have entered our competitions and those who have purchased one of our T-Shirts. We’d be nothing without you guys, so thanks a bunch!

Idology T-Shirts – the Unofficial Idol Fan T-Shirt Store!

I have been busy working with Idol Man (not his real name) over the last few weeks designing merchandise for Idology T-Shirtsthe Unofficial Idol Fan T-Shirt Store. I have created, along with Idol Man, well over fifty designs for T-Shirts, bags and flair. These are now available for purchase from the store, with more designs to become available in the coming weeks. So if you are an American Idol fanatic, you are going to want to get your hands on this stuff (even if I do say so myself). You won’t find a larger range of Idol fan gear anywhere on the internet – a bold statement to be sure, but one that (I think) is actually true!

Below are some designs that I helped put together:

Sarver Flavor
Grab some Sarver Flavor...Traditional Homemade Recipe...Product of Texas...Quality Guaranteed!

Allison: Rocker Girl

Ryan: Host With The Most

Update on the Latest GritFX Competition Winner...

On the 2nd of March, Wayne John was announced as the winner of "Guess the Number of Jelly Beans in the Jar" competition with a guess of 834 - one off the exact number! Wayne has since selected his prize and has posted a contest thankyou video which we'd like to share with you all.

Visit Blogger Help and Assistance to read Wayne's post.

And here is an embedded video file:

Wayne chose the "Agent Provocateur" design.

Note: At one point in the video, Wayne pulls out the Cafepress flyer... to be clear, Cafepress are just a Print-On-Demand (POD) supplier we (GritFX) use for our Mother Store* which offers all of our designs on various shirts.

Our Sister Store is operated through another POD - Zazzle - and has a selection of designs available on a retro apparel range.

There's a love-hate relationship here... any POD we use profits from any one of our shirt sales, yet we wouldn't be able to offer what we do without them! Our long term goal is to have complete control and do our own screen printing.

* UPDATE: GritFX have since re-evaluated our relationship with Cafepress and no longer use them as our primary print-on-demand supplier.

ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU TO ALL OUR COMPETITION PARTICIPANTS.

Check out previous competition winners on the GritFX Website.

New GritFX T-Shirts!!!

Well, it’s about time we had some new designs in our store. Below are our first batch for 2009, conceived and executed by the GritFX team consisting of myself (Manz), Dave & Max (with some input from Wadrick). Dave was his usually pedantic self when it came to approving designs, which may answer the question as to why it took so long for them to become available.

We are currently updating our online stores, so bear with us when shopping. We will soon be expanding our Zazzle range of available designs.

Hope you dig our new designs (and buy one!)…

GritFX have been featured on Elite Shirt Design

I'm pleased to share the news that GritFX have been featured on the Elite Shirt Design blog. The GritFX team were very entertained by the review, which includes the humorous use of "Aussie talk". We were also "stoked" about what the review contained - check it out, there are also some questions that Dave answered on behalf of the team.

Click to go to the review/interview.

What is Elite Shirt Design?
To quote the creator, Shawn (aka Fuzzy), "Elite Shirt Design is a community for Print on Demand (POD) Designers. A place for all POD types (Spreadshirt, Cafepress, Zazzle, RedBubble, etc.) guys and gals to get together and shoot the proverbial ka-ka."

If you are a POD designer, I suggest you take a look.
